Refund policy

Our priority is to guarantee you maximum freshness and quality. Given the nature of our products, we have set out different return policies in order to protect both your shopping experience and the integrity of our farm products.

1. Fresh products (citrus fruit)

Under art. 59, letter d) of the Italian Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal is excluded for the supply of goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

For this reason, citrus fruit and other fresh products cannot be returned once they have been shipped.

2. Long-life products (jams, oil, etc.)

For packaged, non-perishable products, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, provided that:

  • The packs are sealed, undamaged and show no signs of tampering.

The shipping costs for the return are borne by the customer.

3. Cancelling an order

You can ask to cancel an order in full or in part only before the goods have been shipped.

Once the order has been handed to the courier, it can no longer be cancelled, given the perishable nature of most of our catalogue.

4. Damaged goods or delivery problems

If the goods arrive damaged or show any defect, we undertake to resolve the problem promptly. To allow us to act, you must:

  • Report the problem immediately at the time of delivery or within 24 hours of receipt at the latest.
  • Send an email to siculafoodexpress@gmail.com or a WhatsApp message to 346 5307254.
  • Attach clear photographic evidence showing the damage, both to the outer packaging and to the product inside.

Please note: we cannot proceed with refunds or replacements without photographic proof of the damage, or where a report is made too late for us to check the condition of the fresh product.

5. Important note on cash on delivery payment

A purchase paid by cash on delivery is a contract of sale in every respect.

Exclusion of withdrawal for fresh products

Since our citrus fruit is perishable, under art. 59 of the Italian Consumer Code the right of withdrawal does not apply. The customer is therefore obliged to receive the goods and to complete the payment.

Refusal of delivery

Refusing the parcel without justification at the time of delivery does not release the customer from the obligation to pay. If the goods are not collected, we will be obliged to claim reimbursement of the costs we have incurred, which include:

  • The full value of the perishable goods, which can no longer be sold.
  • The outward shipping costs and any return shipping costs.
  • Storage costs and the cost of disposing of the deteriorated products.

Debt collection

If no amicable solution is found, the case will be passed to a debt collection agency for recovery of the sums due, with the addition of legal and administrative costs.

6. Refund procedure

Once your report has been verified or the return has been received, for non-perishable products we will issue the refund using the same payment method used for the purchase within 7-10 working days.
