Blood Oranges
Product description
The Moro is the most intense of our blood oranges. 🍊 The pulp is a deep, almost wine-like red, and the taste is sweet with a bitter hint that is recognizable at first bite.
It originates in Scordia, eastern Sicily. During the day, there's sun, at night, the temperature drops, and it's precisely those cold hours that form the anthocyanins, the pigments that give the pulp its color. This variety appeared nearby, in the territory of Lentini, in the 19th century, and has never left these lands since.
How it's made
